Across Scotland from Lochailort to Scurdie Ness

Here it is at last  - my account of the Rab TGO Challenge 2008. Hopefully at least someone's been waiting for it!

For those who don't know it is a non competitive self-supported walk across Scotland from West to East coast.  Challengers plot their own routes.  If you wish you can take in a load of Munros or Corbetts but a low level Challenge is equally valid. It is utterly non competitive.

Why do it? Well Scotland's stunning scenery is one good reason. Setting your own peronal Challenge is another but the often unexpected pleasure is sharing both of these with a bunch of like-minded, ever so slightly insane, strangers who will soon become good freinds.

Because you can vary your route each year many people keep coming back. Beware it is highly addictive!

This year was my fifth Challenge and the best yet.  It is a tale of two Mrs Os, two tramways and two hours of rain sandwiched between two hugs from a very special man.
